About Our Founder
Lenca Labs was founded by Diana Negrón, a nationally recognized expert in equitable economic development, strategic planning, and community-centered growth. Her work lives at the intersection of policy, entrepreneurship, and sustainability — blending hands-on experience with visionary thinking.
With over 7 years of experience spanning government agencies, research institutions, and strategic advisory roles, Diana has worked at the highest levels of local and regional economic development — including leading initiatives that supported millions in small business recovery funding, advising executive leadership on inclusive growth strategies, and contributing to citywide plans that advanced economic development, sustainability, and equitable investment.
Currently pursuing a PhD in City and Regional Planning at the University of Pennsylvania, Diana merges academic rigor with a real-world understanding of how systems impact people — particularly small businesses, communities of color, and underserved entrepreneurs.
In addition to LencaLabs, Diana has developed tech-enabled solutions to help small businesses navigate sustainability, reduce utility burdens, and scale with intention. Her commitment to translating complex challenges into practical, equity-focused tools is at the core of everything she builds.
